I'm very happy to finally show my latest personal project based on a concept by Felipe Kimio (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/yyPZK).
It was a lot of fun to do. I was trying to get the best result possible with marmoset as a renderer (I will possibly do a full vray version in the futur).
Everything is rendered in marmoset no post process for now. (except the gray render which are vray renders)
Everything has been modeled directly in zbrush with mostly all polypaint except the skin, the bat and the pedestral which are textures done in substance painter.
In marmoset it's the full high res model no decimation (around 40 million triangles). It's a pipeline that I keep trying to refine which I find very fun and easy to use. Vray is a very time consuming rendered to setup and get great result. Obviously it doesn't have the same quality here in marmoset but I believe that it is still pretty decent.
